Choose a workstation layout for your team

Specify both the number of people and the space available for the complete workstation cluster. The size of one worktop is different from the overall footprint once opposite desks, privacy panels and storage are included.

Face-to-face or in-line workstations?

Face-to-face clusters place users on opposite sides of a shared desk arrangement. In-line layouts place desks in a row. What to include in a workstation brief

• Seating: give the total headcount and the number of seats required in each cluster.
• Dimensions: include the room plan and required worktop size per person, rather than only the cluster length.
• Privacy: confirm whether divider panels are needed, their positions and the preferred finish.
• Storage: identify which seats need a pedestal or cabinet and where it should fit.
• Power and data: mark the room's supply points and the cable route needed to each desk.
• Access: include doors, columns and other fixed features in the floor plan.

Quote the complete workstation requirement

Include staff chairs and shared office storage when requesting a coordinated package. Confirm the features, materials and dimensions of each selected model before approval.
